“SEASONS OF WAITING: PERSEVERING PRAYER”

Father, I pray Your Holy Spirit to lead, guide, comfort, and carry myself, and each one who is in that season of waiting

I pray for the perseverance of Anna, that each of us will be able to pray through to the end, for “Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.

He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him” (Ps.62). I pray, Father, that I will be able, always to “Wait!  Be of good courage, & wait on You” (Ps.27); strengthen my heart that I will be able to WAIT.

Bring myself/Your people through these seasons of testing by enabling each of us to understand that by putting our trust/hope in You, by waiting patiently for You, all the answers will ultimately fall into place, as long as we hold fast to that which we have, that which we know . . .  persevering always in faith, in Your Word.

Make each one of us to “glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope” (Rom.5:3,4), and look forward to the rewards for those who submit to, and manage seasons of waiting, and/or seasons of adversity/tribulation/trials, for “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12). Let this be a motivating force for each of us.

“Strengthen the weak hands,” and “firm up the feeble knees” (Isa.35:3). May we not lose heart, for we know we have a Saviour Who will come and save us; but we must hold on, for “those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint” (Isa.40:31).

Thank-You, Heavenly Father, that we can persevere and put our hope in You. Thank-You, Abba, Lord Jesus/Yeshua, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, may we each persevere. In Your Holy Name. Amen.
