JOSHUA 22:3

JOSHUA 22:3 You have not left your brethren these many days, up to this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the Lord your God.

JOSHUA IS COMMENDING HIS PEOPLE FOR HOW THEY HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL TO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS GIVEN TO MOSES AND HANDED DOWN TO JOSHUA. HE IS ENCOURAGING THEM FOR THEY HAVE “KEPT THE CHARGE” AND DONE WHAT THEY WERE CALLED TO DO.

LIKEWISE, SHOULD WE ALSO VALIDATE ONE ANOTHER, ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER WHEN SOMEONE OF OUR BRETHREN IN CHRIST HAVE FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO DO.

JUST AS JOSHUA FOLLOWS THIS UP WITH A REINFORCING TYPE OF WARNING, REMINDING THEM NOT TO GET LAX, BUT TO CONTINUE FOLLOWING THESE GUIDELINES/COMMANDMENTS, AND TO WALK IN FAITHFULNESS TO THE LORD, SO ALSO SHOULD WE ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT WHEN THINGS ARE GOING WELL AND WE’VE JUST BEEN BLESSED, THIS IS NOT A TIME TO BECOME COMPLACENT/LAX BUT INSTEAD TO KEEP WALKING IN INTIMACY AND FAITHFULNESS TO THE FATHER.
