PRAYER GUIDE, PSALM 119:57-80, 07.02.20

Father, You are “my portion;” You’re all I need, & You’re all I want. There is none like You.

PSALM 119:77 Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; For Your law is my delight.

“I have said that I would keep Your words. I entreated Your favour with my whole heart; be merciful to me according to Your word. I thought about my ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies. I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments.”

Even when the cords of the wicked try to trap me, I will remember Your law, and not give into temptation, for I have not forgotten Your law. In the middle of the night I will rise to give thanks to You, Because of Your righteous judgments.

I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts, for I will not “walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scorner” (Ps.1:1), for I do not want to be unequally yoked.

Thank-You, O Lord, that the earth is full of Your mercy, and You have dealt justly with Your servant, according to Your word.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments. ”Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word. You are good, and do good; Teach me Your statutes.”

When the proud spread lies, rumors, and gossip against me, still, I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart. Their hearts are fickle, changing as the wind, slippery, and undependable; but Your Ways are steadfast, and I delight in them.

“It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.

The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver.

PSALM 119:62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, Because of Your righteous judgments.

Your hands have made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.”

I know, Lord, that Your judgments are right, and can trust that even when You have afflicted me, it is for my benefit. Comfort me, according to Your word, by Your merciful kindness. Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for Your law is my delight.

“Let the proud be ashamed, for they treated me wrongfully with falsehood; But I will meditate on Your precepts. Let those who fear You turn to me, Those who know Your testimonies. Let my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes, that I may not be ashamed.”

I pray these things all in the Name of Jesus/Yeshua. Amen.
