PRAYER GUIDE, “ONE IN MESSIAH,” 09.12.19
What a blessing it is to know that upon believing in/accepting Messiah as our Lord, Master, & Saviour, we “are all sons of God” & all the same before You, whether Jew/Gentile, male/female, “for you are all one in
Messiah Yeshua;” and we are thus “Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise” (Gal.3:26-29); and “if children, also heirs—heirs of God and joint-heirs with Messiah—if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him” (Rom.8:17). What a wondrous inheritance; thank-You, Heavenly Father!
How grateful we must all be for Abraham’s faithfulness to follow You,
Father, when he had no idea where You would take him (Gen. 12:1-4). I pray we could all walk in that kind of faith/faithfulness. Your “desire is to bless those who bless you, but whoever curses you I will curse,” and since You were addressing Abraham, who became the first of the Hebrews, forming the people who became known to us as the Jews, we understand that Your Word clearly advises against antisemitism, which is rampant today. I pray You would unify true believers/followers, that all true believers/followers would support Your people, the Jews, thus the nation of Israel, formed by You and designated for them. Unify Your people, O Lord, I pray. Thank-You, Father, that the promises encased within this covenant You made with Abraham include both Jew and Gentile, and we who believe have been grafted in; and when we bless Your chosen, we will also be blessed.” We thank-You that You are faithful, true to Your Word, that we can each count on You, for just as You honoured Your promise to Sarah (Gen.18:14), You will also honour promises made to each of us.
May we get rid of our flesh, & submit to You, setting our “minds on the
things of the Holy Spirit/Ruach Ha-Kodesh. For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Ruach is life and shalom. For the mindset of the flesh is hostile toward God, for it does not submit itself to the law of God—for it cannot. So those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Rom.8:5-8). And we want to please You. Just as “Messiah is the goal of the Torah as a means to righteousness for everyone who keeps trusting” (Rom.10:4), let our goal be the righteousness of Messiah incorporated in our daily walk by the power of the Holy Spirit/Ruach Ha-Kodesh.
In Jesus/Yeshua’s Name, we pray. Amen.
