Father, forgive me for how far I have fallen away from the teachings of Your Word. Convict me by Your Holy Spirit, of my many failures to surrender in ALL areas of my flesh, my life. I pray for conviction by Your Spirit, that I would be filled with a passion to fully surrender every aspect of my life to You, following in the footsteps of Your Son, Yeshua/Jesus.

Keep me reminded that absolute Surrender means my life no longer belongs to myself, but to You, The One Who “died for all so that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised” (2 Cor.5:15). In line with that, I now choose to crucify all self-life, self-will, and self-focussed, fleshly desires, “bringing my thoughts, emotions into captivity unto the obedience of Yeshua” (2 Cor.10:5), taking up my Cross daily and denying my flesh (Lk.9:23). As Andrew Murray instructs, I want  “death to be to me the most desirable thing on earth – death to self, and fellowship with Christ/Yeshua . . . . I cast this self-life and flesh-life at the feet of Jesus” (Murray, p.261).

I “present/dedicate my body as a living sacrifice—holy, acceptable to God, not being conformed to this world but being transformed by the renewing of my mind, so that I may discern Your will for my life” (Rom.12:1,2), forgetting about social pressures, and rights as pertaining to the political correctness of society; none of these have any place or meaning in my life. I gladly forfeit all so-called “rights,” exchanging them for the amazing privilege of being a son/daughter/servant of my Saviour/King/Lord. Thank-You, Father for the wonderful privilege of  being part of the family of God (John 1:12). Thank-You, Father, that You have adopted, and grafted me into the original olive tree, making me an heir (Gal.3:28,29), thus sharing in all the promises that were given to Israel/the Jews

I set my heart to surrender my all to You, for I “was bought with a price; and therefore desire to glorify You in my body” (1 Cor.6:19,20), Lord. I am so grateful that You do not expect me to be able to do so through my own power, but that by the power of Your Holy Spirit, “I can do all things . . ..” (Phil.4:13); that I can “work out my salvation with fear and trembling, for it is YOU at the helm”(Phil.2:12,13). No words can adequately express the blessing of the gift of Your Holy Spirit, “whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but I know Him, because He abides with me and is in me” (John 14:17),  “teaching me everything I need to know, and reminding me of all You’ve ever told/shown me” (John 14:26).

Holy Spirit prompt me, each day, and throughout the day, as those issues, thoughts, emotions, desires, reactions, etc. come up that need to be nailed to the Cross, surrendered, so I can deal with them on an ongoing basis, instead of letting them go unnoticed, only to become more rooted, and cause more problems in the end. I want to kill them off as each one pops out at me.

Use me, Lord, to redeem back the lost souls of fallen humanity (Mark 16:15-17). Let me suffer and be insulted on Your behalf, and may I not complain, whine, or ask to be relieved of such trials, “but let me glorify Your Holy Name” (I Peter 4:12-16), bearing fruit through such adversity and trials. In Jesus/Yeshua’s Holy Name, I pray. Amen.
