II THESSALONIANS 1:6

II THESSALONIANS 1:6                                  “Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you.”

PAUL IS POINTING OUT THAT GOD IS A GOD OF JUSTICE, AND WILL MAKE UP FOR THE SUFFERING THAT THESE FAITHFUL, OBEDIENT SERVANTS HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO.

INJUSTICES AND TRIBULATION/ADVERSITY, PAUL POINTS OUT, ARE EVIDENCE OF HOW EFFECTIVELY THEY WERE SERVING GOD’S KINGDOM. AND THEY WILL BE COUNTED WORTHY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD BECAUSE OF THEIR PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE AND WILLINGNESS TO ENDURE THEIR SUFFERING. GOD ALSO WILL DEAL WITH THOSE WHO HAVE PERSECUTED HIS PEOPLE.

WHEN WE ENDURE SUFFERING FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM, WHEN WE HAVE BEEN THUS CALLED, WE WILL EXPERIENCE GOD’S LOVE AND COVERING. WE CAN ALSO KNOW THAT OUR WORK WAS EFFECTIVE, SINCE THAT IS WHEN THE ENEMY ATTACKS.

WE ALL MUST LEAVE IT TO GOD TO BRING JUSTICE TO THE INJUSTICES IN OUR LIVES, AS VENGEANCE BELONGS TO THE LORD AND NOT TO US. SOMETIMES THAT JUSTICE IS NOT REALIZED IN OUR LIFE ON EARTH, BUT IT WILL ULTIMATELY BE TAKEN CARE OF BY OUR FATHER.
