JOHN 8:29

JOHN 8:29                                                                                            “AND HE THAT SENT ME IS WITH ME; THE FATHER HAS NOT LEFT ME ALONE; FOR I DO ALWAYS THOSE THINGS THAT PLEASE HIM.”

JESUS/YESHUA HAD BEEN EXPLAINING TO HIS DISCIPLES MORE ABOUT HIMSELF AND WHO HE REALLY WAS, TELLING THEM ABOUT HIS APPROACHING DEPARTURE, WHICH OF COURSE, THEY FAILED TO UNDERSTAND.

HE DEFINED HIMSELF/HIS IDENTITY, AND HIS ROLE IN RELATION TO HIS FATHER AND THEIR CLOSE AFFILIATION – I.e., HOW THAT HE DID NOT DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT HIS FATHER SET OUT FOR HIM TO DO.

ALL THE DETAILS ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS FATHER PROVIDE FOR US A WONDERFUL MODEL ON WHICH TO BASE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. JUST AS HE DID, WE WOULD DO WELL TO ONLY DO THOSE THINGS THAT PLEASE THE FATHER. THAT IS WHEN WE WILL EXPERIENCE HIS PRESENCE AND PROTECTION.

IF WE MODEL OUR WALK AFTER OUR SAVIOUR’S WALK, WE CANNOT GO WRONG.
