The tribulation ends when Christ returns to crush the rebellion propelled by Satan through his agent, the Antichrist. After bringing judgment and dealing with all the nations, “He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron” (Rev.19:15), and He will rule and reign for 1,000 years.

Follow the prophetic Word’s of God on this topic:

Revelation 5:5: “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

Only Jesus/Yeshua Messiah, the Son of God, perfect and holy, and perfectly holy, will be able to release the judgments from heaven, upon humankind; and only He can return to rule and reign as King over all the earth for 1,000 years. This is what is referred to as the Millennial Kingdom.

Psalm 2:6-9

Psalm 2:12          Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

6 “Yet I have set My King

On My holy hill of Zion.”

7 “I will declare the [g]decree:

The Lord has said to Me,

‘You are My Son,

Today I have begotten You.

8 Ask of Me, and I will give You

The nations for Your inheritance,

And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

9 You shall break them with a rod of iron;

You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”

10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;

Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear,

And rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,

And you perish in the way,

When His wrath is kindled but a little.

Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Many of the Psalms contain prophecy about the final judgment and the Millennium. Psalm 110 is another example which speaks to a combination of the Great Day of the Lord’s Judgment as well as alluding to the Millennial Reign.

In order for the Millennial Kingdom to have peace, Satan and his dark angels are bound up in a special holding place during that time: “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished” (Rev.20:1-3).

Psalm 2:6
“Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”
7 “I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.

And here is the very specific prophecy of the Millennial Period:

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years

5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Jesus/Yeshua Himself prophecies concerning His Millennial Reign:

Matthew 19:28-30

28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life

30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

So clearly does Jesus/Yeshua identify Himself as KING/ruler, as well as spell out who will be partaking of His Kingdom, it is almost ridiculous to acknowledge that there are many denominations who believe, and teach that this has already happened. I would like to know on which planet . . .   Certainly this has not been documented as a real happening, but merely in someone’s mind or in a work of imagination/fiction. Unless we are calling Him a liar in which case it is pure blasphemy, if we claim to believe in Him, surely we must believe in what He has prophesied, and promised.

Jesus/Yeshua, in speaking with His disciples at the time, provides a few more details, and a wonderful promise: “But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, 30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel” (Lk.22:28-30).  And He repeats this same promise/prophecy when He gives John the revelation of His coming: “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Rev.3:21). Again, He confirms the prophetic promise of His coming Kingdom in

Rev.2:25-27 But hold fast what you have till I come.

26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—“

27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;

They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—

as I also have received from My Father;(Rev.2:25-27).

The most profound prophetic vision of heaven coming down to earth is found in Revelation 21. God gives John a vision of “the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. . . . He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son” (Rev.21:2-4,7).

Prophecy contains promises as well as warnings; and these are probably the most beautiful promises in Scripture. It is important to realize that the promise of the New Jerusalem is exclusive to those who are true believers, true followers of Christ. No entry will be granted to those who do not know and walk with Him, for “the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

We will carry forward, and conclude with Old Testament prophecies on this topic in the next STUDY.
