13.08.19 WHAT DO YOU DO WITH FEAR?

One of the most commonly recurring needs amongst God’s people is the overcoming of fear, anxiety, doubt, worry. 

What do you do with your fear, anxiety, stress, doubt, & worry?

Let us STUDY the following passages to see what God’s Word tells us about how to respond to these crippling emotions.

FROM THE FOLLOWING PASSAGES, IDENTIFY:

  1. The primary principle.
  2. The primary promise.

Jeremiah 46:27,28:

“fear not, Jacob My servant, nor be dismayed, O Israel. For behold, I will save you . . . . And Jacob will return and be at peace and secure, no one frightening him. Fear not, Jacob My servant”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“for I am with you.”

Matthew 10:28,31:

28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. 

31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. 

Mark 4:40

40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

Luke 1:30

30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God.

Luke 12:32

32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Philippians 4:6,7

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:5,6

I will never leave you nor forsake you…the Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man may do unto me. 

Genesis 28:15

15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” 

Deuteronomy 1:29,30

29 “Then I said to you, ‘Do not be terrified, or afraid of them. 

30 The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you

Deuteronomy 31:6,8

 6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Psalm 27:14

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

Psalm 34:4

4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me,

Psalm 34:4
“I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.”

And delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 56:3,11

3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

11 In God I have put my trust;

I will not be afraid.

What can man do to me?

Psalm 91:5,11

5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,

Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,

To keep you in all your ways.
