ISAIAH 30:15

ISAIAH 30:15
““In returning and rest you shall be saved;
In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
But you would not,”

EVEN THOUGH, IN THE END, GOD STILL ASSURES THE ISRAELITES THAT HE WILL HAVE MERCY ON THEM, HE IS WARNING THEM THAT THERE ARE INTERIM CONSEQUENCES WHICH ARE VERY SEVERE.

HE PROPHECIES THROUGH ISAIAH, WARNING & CHASTISING HIS PEOPLE FOR HAVING REJECTED HIM, HIS LAWS, & HIS WAYS. HE THREATENS THEM WITH DIRE CONSEQUENCES FOR THEIR REBELLIOUS ATTITUDES, FOR PREFERRING TO HEAR FROM LYING PROPHETS, INSTEAD OF TRUTH FROM HIS CHOSEN.

BUT WHEN THEY FINALLY SUBMIT TO HIM/HIS WAYS, THEY WILL BE REDEEMED. WHEN IN QUIET SUBMISSION & STILLNESS WE RETURN FROM OUR WANDERING WAYS . . .  .

IN THE SAME WAY, ALTHOUGH WE WILL NOT LOSE OUR SALVATION (IF WE HAVE TRULY BEEN ONE OF HIS), WE WILL SUFFER SEVERE CONSEQUENCES ALONG THE WAY, IF WE VEER OFF FROM HIS PATHWAY, BREAK COVENANT WITH HIM, REBELLING & REJECTING, DISOBEYING, REFUSING TO LISTEN/HEED HIS WARNINGS. IN REPENTANCE, WE WILL BE REDEEMED, HOWEVER, BY HIS MERCY & GRACE. BUT HIS MERCY & GRACE DO NOT CHANGE THE CONSEQUENCES THAT WILL COME UPON US WHEN WE STRAY.
