PHILIPPIANS 3:7-11, 25.07.19

Father, forgive Your servant for self-preoccupation, self-focus, self-righteousness, self-indulgence, self-gratification, self-sufficiency, & all self-serving motives, intentions, desires, & behaviours.

Make me to realize that everything that I have viewed as important to me in this world takes away from my relationship with You, my experience of You, my ability to come higher & closer & go deeper, and any opportunity to bring You Glory.

Prick my heart; pierce my heart with Your arrows until I yearn, ache, & long to be more like YOU; till I am so convicted of these self-centred patterns that I am happy to give them up, & no longer cling to any of the self-pleasures, indulgences, & things of the world that I hang onto; till I can say, like Paul, that I count them all as rubbish, and am happy to exchange them for more of YOU, & for bringing You GLORY

Bring me to that place where I want nothing more than to walk in Your Righteousness, to be willing to suffer, to give up ALL in order to fulfill Your purposes for me. ENLIGHTEN the eyes of my understanding, & fully CONVICT me of my purpose: to bring You GLORY. Cement in me the realization that my very reason for existence is to bring You GLORY, not to please my flesh, my little selfish silly self. And I thank You, Lord, that even the simple act of sharing my testimony brings glory to Your Holy Name. It’s not as though You even ask me to do anything difficult!

10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Bring me to that place where I want nothing more than “to know YOU & the power of Your resurrection, the fellowship of Your sufferings, becoming entirely conformed to Your death,” so that just as Jesus/Yeshua directed me to “take up my cross & deny my SELF DAILY,” I  “may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” MAKE ME  to no longer desire to hang onto my own useless flesh & silly little life, but instead to be willing to suffer, to even lose my life for You, Jesus/Yeshua, for “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.”

Yes! I commit now to that DAILY walk of self-denial, that DAILY walk of crucifying flesh, & putting YOU FIRST. TEACH ME DAILY by Your Spirit to make You part of everything I do, so that You become CENTRAL to ALL I do each & every day.  so that I may be conformed to Your death, becoming more like You with every conquered piece of flesh, for I DO “WANT to know YOU & the power of Your resurrection, partaking in Your sufferings, & thereby being conformed to Your death,” that I may become fully immersed in that resurrected life, in Jesus/Yeshua’s Holy Name. Amen.
