MENTORING CORNER/STUDY GUIDE, PLATITUDES & CLICHES, 04.06.19
So what about these things said about how “good” God is?
Are they just things believers spew out during worship?
Are they just token words believers say &/or hear?
“GOD IS GOOD” – Has this become no more than a platitude, something that we’ve all heard so many times, it’s lost all meaning and impact?
“GOD IS GOOD” – Is it no more than a familiar cliche by which believers take for granted the predictability & promise of God’s goodness, thereby making demands, and having expectations that God should meet their every whiney childish demand?
So now, if we are serious about God’s “GOODNESS,” if it is more than mere platitudes/cliches, then what does that mean?
- CONNECT THE DOTS between “GOD’S GOODNESS” & what that implies for your behaviour , in your relationship with Father/Son/Holy Spirit?
- HOW DOES THAT MEAN YOU SHOULD LIVE YOUR LIFE?
- WHAT SHOULD YOUR OWN RESPONSE BE TO HIS “GOODNESS”?
