Father, teach me to be still, for it is in that stillness that I will experience Your Presence, as well as more fully know Who You are. Teach my soul to wait for You in silence.

May my silence be a form of praise. Let there be a reverential silence by all, in honour of You.

May I find salvation through my repentance, while resting my soul in You. Thank-You, Heavenly Father, that I receive Your strength by trusting in You, & remaining quiet before YOU. Make me to “Be silent before You, Lord God! For the day of the Lord is at hand;” (Zeph.1:7) & You have prepared a sacrifice, consecrating Your guests.  Surely, “It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord” (Lamentations 3:26).

Make me & mould me, that I will be transformed, becoming like You, Jesus/Yeshua. Make me to always make time for You, & special time to meet with You in a solitary setting, without interruption, & intrusion by the elements of the world. I want special alone time with You. I want to hunger so for that kind of time that I will be able to say “NO” to any temptations, distractions, &/or intrusions, sending them away, just as You did when the crowds became too demanding of Your time/energy (Mk.6:45,46). I will commit to finding a way to escape from the rest of society, withdrawing myself to time alone with You, in quiet stillness, & solitude, just as You spent time with the Father, I want to “withdraw into the wilderness and pray” (Lk.5:16).

Let me be more & more like You, Jesus/Yeshua, till I truly do nothing of Myself (John 8:28), but do as You have modelled for us, always doing only those things pleasing to the Father (John 8:29).  In Your Holy, & precious Name. Amen.
