PRAYER GUIDE, PSALM 143, 24.06.19
I so need to hear from You, Lord. Be patient with me, “And in Your righteousness, Do not enter into judgment with me, for in Your sight no one living is righteous;” and I know that in/of myself there is no good thing in me (Rom.7:18). Only by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the power of Your Holy Spirit can I hope to attain any degree of righteousness, but it is for this I long.
I need Your intervention, “For the enemy has persecuted my soul, He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in darkness, Like those who have long been dead.” (Our “Enemy,” put in context is the Devil himself, as Paul states, “we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God . . .,” 2 Cor.10:3,4) “Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is distressed.” Strengthen me to defeat the wiles of the Devil, and overcome every threat and attack of the Enemy.
Make me to “remember the days of old; to meditate on all Your works; let me muse on the work of Your hands. I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You like a thirsty land.” As I meditate on Your works in the ancient days, I know that Your arm has not been shortened (Isa. 59:1); I am trusting in You. “Answer me speedily, O Lord; My spirit fails!
Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit. Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You. Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter.”
I surrender to Your Will, and Your Way. “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” When I tire and lose hope, “Revive me, O Lord, for Your name’s sake!
For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble,” Lord, for I am totally dependent on You for my deliverance. “In Your mercy cut off my enemies, And destroy all those who afflict my soul; For I am Your servant.” Father, have mercy on me; the Enemy is out to destroy me, body, & soul.
I look to You, Father, for all that assails me. I know that by Your Holy Spirit, through my total surrender, I will overcome, for “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil.4:13).
In the Name of Jesus/Yeshua, I pray these things. Amen.
