PRAYER GUIDE: “CONFLICT RESOLUTION, THE GODLY WAY,” 08.05.19

Father, give me eyes to see my opponent as You do, that I can respond in loving and kind ways, speaking the truth in love (Eph.4:15), while being assertive and concise, and firm.

I choose to forgive (Matt.18) _________  for injustices/offences

I choose to “love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me, so that I may be a child of my Father in heaven”

against me; and I confess/repent/ask forgiveness (1 John 1:9) for all wrong judgments against ____________. I choose to “love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me, so that I may be a child of my Father in heaven” (Matt.5:44,45). I want to be able to be as You would be, that I would “be perfect, just as You are perfect” (Matt.5:48). I pray blessings, therefore, upon _______________, and pray that You will heal their heart and make this thing right between us now.

I want to seek a peaceful outcome, so please “instruct me and teach me in the way I should go  . . . . guide me with Your Eye . . . give me counsel . . . I do not want to be like a stubborn horse/mule” (Ps.32:8,9). I am seeking to approach this Your Way, in accordance with Your Will. I am “trusting in You, Lord, with all my heart, not depending on my own understanding, but rather acknowledging that YOU know so much better than I do, what is best; make a straight path for me,” I pray (Prov.3:3-7, paraphrased).

I pray, Father, that ___________ will respond favourably when I raise this issue for reconciliation. I pray that You will bless ______________ and prepare his/her heart for this time. But prepare my heart, also, that I will not be vengeful (Prov.20:22) if things don’t work out. Make me able to wait for You to bring justice, while I nail all bitterness and anger to the Cross. I refuse to carry any anger, bitterness, or judgments against _____________ (James 3,4). I  simply surrender that one to You, and place them between Your shoulders and ask You to bless him/her. Make me to “Humble myself in Your sight, so You can lift me up, in due time . . . .  that I will not speak evil against another” (James 4:10). Let me choose to do things Your Way. In Jesus/Yeshua’s Name. Amen.
