JOHN 10:29,30

“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”

THIS IS ACTUALLY A “LOADED” PASSAGE, BECAUSE IT ENCOMPASSES MORE THAN ONE SIGNIFICANT PRINCIPLE.

FIRST OF ALL, JESUS/YESHUA HAS JUST FINISHED EXPOUNDING ON HIS ROLE AS “SHEPHERD” AND HOW THAT THE SHEEP KNOW WHO THEIR SHEPHERD IS, AND THEREFORE KNOW HIS VOICE.

TYING THIS ANALOGY IN WITH OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM AS OUR SHEPHERD GIVES US A MEASURING STICK FOR KNOWING WHEN WE ARE HEARING HIS VOICE.

THE SECOND PRINCIPLE IS THAT THE SHEEP GIVEN TO HIM HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED BY THE FATHER. UNDERNEATH THIS GOVERNANCE IS THE FACT THAT IF THEY WERE IN THE FATHER’S HAND, AND NO ONE CAN TAKE THEM OUT OF HIS FATHER’S HAND, NEITHER CAN THEY BE TAKEN OUT OF JESUS/YESHUA’S HAND, DUE TO:

THE THIRD PRINCIPLE OF HIM BEING “ONE WITH THE FATHER” WHICH THEREBY ESTABLISHES HIS DEITY.

IT SHOULD BE A COMFORT TO EACH OF US THAT ONCE WE HAVE BEEN IN THE FATHER’S HAND, WE CANNOT BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM. HE WILL NOT LET US GO.
