PRAYER GUIDE, HALLELUIAH, HE IS RISEN! April 21/22, 2019
Father in Heaven, we do so thank-You for our risen Lord!!! And “HALLELUIAH!” that He is risen, and we have a Saviour who is preparing an eternal home for us with Him.
Father forgive us for the many occasions of failing to remember Your promises, Your Ways, Your Word, forgetting Your prophecies, and all our answered prayers, just like the women, and the disciples at the Garden Tomb, (Lk.24:6-8), when they were so startled at the empty tomb. Instead of expecting what You’d said to be realized, they had succumbed to doubt and fear. Forgive us for doubting, just like doubting Thomas (John 20:25,27) and all those who would not believe without proof (Lk.24:39,40; Mk.16:11,13). Forgive us, oh, Lord.
Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have failed to hear and see, when You are making it clear to us about some matter, but our eyes are blinded, our ears cannot hear, just as the disciples on the Road to Emmaus (Lk.24:13-35) we failed to see/hear; we missed Your message. What foolishness! Lord, open our eyes that these things will no longer happen. Open our ears that we will always hear Your voice, Your Holy Spirit . … . may we always recognize You/Your voice, Your message, in whatever form it comes (Lk.24:30,31). Make our hearts burn within us to hear Your voice, and when Your Holy Spirit is explaining the Scriptures to us . . . . (Lk.24:32).
Thank You, that You are risen indeed!” (Lk.24:34). We rejoice in knowing that You are “the First and the Last, and the One who lives. I was dead, but look—I am alive forever and ever! Moreover, I hold the keys of death and Sheol (Rev.1:17,18).
LET US ARISE, and live IN You, BY Your Holy Spirit, for each of us who are born again can say: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Gal.2:20,21); and let us “not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” May we each crucify the flesh and live for You, for Your Kingdom, for our eternity with You, Father, in Jesus/Yeshua’s Holy Name. Amen.
