PROPHESYING TO WOMEN OF THE LAST DAYS, 27.03.19
On His way to the Cross, so battered and bruised, with flesh shredded and torn from the whips/lashings, His body oozing with His life’s blood, Yeshua/Jesus, looked with compassion, and prophesied to the women following, crying for Him/His pain/their loss:
“Now a great multitude of people was following Him, including women who were mourning and singing dirges for Him. But Yeshua, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but for yourselves and your children. For indeed, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are barren, and the wombs that never gave birth, and the breasts that did not feed.’ ‘Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ (Lk.23:27-30). Why would He say such things? Was Yeshua/Jesus really prophesying to the women of today, to the generation of those who would be present during the days of the Great Tribulation?
“These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women (or women, with men), for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been redeemed from among mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no lie—they are blameless” (Rev.14:4,5). Is it the case that these are the special, called ones who will be so engrossed in completing the Father’s work during those last days (men and women) that they will have neither time nor desire to be involved with family or fleshly matters of any kind?
For during this time, “those in Judea must flee to the mountains. The one on the roof must not go down to take what is in his house, and the one in the field must not turn back to get his coat. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! Pray that your escape will not happen in winter, or on Shabbat. For then there will be great tribulation/trouble” (Matt.24:16-21). “Then after the 62 weeks Mashiach will be cut off and have nothing. Then the people of a prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. But his end will come like a flood. Until the end of the war that is decreed there will be destruction. Then he will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of abominations will come one who destroys, until the decreed annihilation is poured out on the one who destroys’” (Dan.9:26,27). This is the second half of the great tribulation period, prophesied by first Daniel, then Yeshua, then John the apostle. These will be days of great testing and trials and hardships. Yahweh has need of special assignments to especially surrendered, loyal, committed ones during this time.
“People will go into the caves of the rocks and into the holes of the earth, because of the fear of Adonai and the splendour of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth. In that day a man will cast away his idols . . . They go into the clefts of the rocks and the crevices of the crags, because of fear of Adonai . . . . when He arises to shake the earth” (Isa.2:19-21). That is a day yet to come; but it is near at hand, for we are in the days pre-empting the time of the great tribulation. Jesus/Yeshua foretold, so we would know what to look for: 25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Lk.21:25-28). This is a “decree;” it is something that will happen, not something we can pray away. This is part of God’s sovereign plan; it is the way that He will bring justice to all the provocation, and evil done on the earth, as well as all the persecution and hatred of His chosen people, the Jews.
People will attempt to escape God’s wrath, they will want to die, but be unable to: “they will say to the mountains: “Cover us!” And to the hills: “Fall on us!” (Hos.10:8); “then the kings of the earth and the great men and the military commanders and the rich and the mighty and everyone—slave and free—hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they tell the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Rev.6:15-17); “In those days, people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will flee from them” (Rev.9:6). All these events were prophesied, decreed by Yahweh through Isaiah, Jeremiah, and several of His prophets, long before Yeshua/Jesus, and then John, the apostle. We know from this, that these are certainties. They are not if, maybe, or perhaps. Yeshua said “for this must happen but it is not yet the end” (Matt.24:6); “ there will be great tribulation/trouble, such as has not happened since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will” (Matt.24:21); “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other”(Matt.24:29-31).
“The great day of Adonai is near—near and coming very quickly! The sound of the day of Adonai is bitter—the shouting of the warrior is there. That day is a day of wrath a day of trouble and distress, a day of devastating storm and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of shofar and alarm against the fortified cities and against the high corner towers. I will bring such distress upon mankind that they will walk like the blind—for they have sinned against Adonai. Their blood will be poured out like dust, and their flesh like dung. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to rescue them on the day of Adonai’s wrath. With the fire of His passion the entire earth will be consumed, For He will make a total, dreadful annihilation of all the inhabitants of the earth” (Zeph.1:14-18). God’s people – the believers/followers of the Son – do not need to fear. It is not a terrible day for true followers of Jesus/Yeshua; but it is a terrible day for those who have rejected His offer of salvation, and rebelled against Him. Their time is now up. They’ve blown all their chances.
During Yeshua’s time on earth, He was ministered/cared for/tended to by several women of great faith – women who were so devoted and faithful to Him, their hearts were shredded upon His death. They thought they had lost their Rabboni, their beloved Master and teacher. They had so come to rely on His presence, they couldn’t bare the thought of being without Him. He had become the guiding light of their lives. He had a very intimate relationship with Lazarus, Mary, and Martha, in whose home in Bethany He often stayed. It is in John 11 where we get a glimpse of the relationship between them. When Yeshua was called because Lazarus had died, Martha was beside herself. After first admonishing Him for not having arrived sooner, she declared: “Master, if You had been here, my brother wouldn’t have died! But I know, even now, that whatever You may ask of God, He will give You . . … . .. “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, Ben-Elohim who has come into the world”” (John 11:21,22,27). It is to women like these, women who truly know Him, who will lay their carnal lives aside to serve Him, that He has prophesied these warnings; that such dedicated, faithful women will be prepared for these times, and minimize their load by not being married/having families. They will need only cling to Him and live lives unto Him during these times of great tribulation. He has given warnings to prepare, not to scare; just as all prophecies are intended to do. It would have been from a place of great love and compassion that Yeshua spoke those prophetic Words.
