Father forgive us for whining, complaining when we don’t understand and demanding to know why, for Your Word clearly indicates that You never promised to give us reasons for everything; You never promised to explain everything, and we know that Your “thoughts are not our thoughts, Nor are our ways Your ways” . . . . “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isa.55:8,9).

Forgive us, Lord, for complicating things, when all we need do is accept, and trust in You/Your Word, for “The secret things belong to the Lord our God,”(Deut.29:29), and all we need do is be obedient, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Cor.5:7). Make us now to walk in humility and trust, realizing that there will be things we will not possibly fully comprehend until the time that we enter into our eternal home. We will not have all the answers to everything until we reach the Great Beyond.

Make us to surrender our desires to know “why,” and settle us in accepting the outcomes of things and the unknowns by putting our trust in You, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Cor.5:7). Give us the strength of faith to put all our trust, faith, and hope in You, regardless of what we can see, hear, and/or tangibly know and comprehend, because, after-all, “Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it” (Isa.42:5). May we realize our nothingness apart from You, our total dependence on You. For You created us and gave us breath, reserving the right to provide and remove life: “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21). May we honour You, worship You, and trust in You regardless of occurrences that don’t make sense.

Enable us to appreciate the mysteries: “Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed” (I Cor.15:50,51). Let us look forward to being changed, for truly it is a wonderful thing “that when it’s revealed, we shall be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is” (I John 3:2) –  this is not only a miracle but a glorious existence for us to anticipate – that we will be brought into the heavenlies with our glorified bodies and truly become like Yeshua Messiah/Christ Jesus. May we rejoice in the mysteries that will make us like You, Jesus/Yeshua.

Thank-You, Lord, for “the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory” (Col.1:27), For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known” (I Cor.13:12).

Thank-You, Lord, that our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. He will transform this humble body of ours into the likeness of His glorious body, through the power that enables Him even to put all things in subjection to Himself) (Phil.3:20,21). And that is one of the greatest, and most exciting, mysteries of all. Thank-You, Heavenly Father, that we can trust in Your mysteries. In Jesus/Yeshua’s Holy Name, we will walk in the Spirit, and trust and obey. Amen.
