PRAYER GUIDE, “CHOOSE THIS DAY . . ..” 21.03.19
I pray for the Holy Spirit to convict each heart that has committed to You, that has made the choice to follow You.
I pray for hearts of surrender, who like David will respond rightly to conviction, repenting with sincerely sorrowful hearts for those things that have brought defilement upon themselves, and/or others violated Your Ways/Laws/Conditions/Expectations. Let each pray as David, and say:
Father, forgive me for “I have sinned greatly in what I have done! But now, Adonai, please take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly” (2 Sam.24:10).
2 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop (Blood of Jesus/Yeshua), and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
Make us now to pluck out and cast away all defiling activities (1John 2:15-17); to put to death the lust of the flesh, all wrong desires, thoughts, attitudes, habits (list your own areas of weakness here), and exchange and replace all such with a walk of righteousness, that we can each walk in repentance and return to our FIRST LOVE, “repenting and doing as we did when we first chose to follow You, Jesus/Yeshua; so that You do not have to “come to us and remove our menorah from its place” (Rev.2:4,5).
In Jesus/Yeshua’s Holy Name, we pray. Amen.
