What will the Last Days Apostate (FALSE CHURCH) Church look like?

What Yeshua said to John in his vision, about the congregation of Laodicea gives a brief but telling summary of the false congregation/church of the last days: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. Oh, that you were either cold or hot! So because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spew you out of My mouth. For you say, ‘I am rich, I have made myself wealthy, and I need nothing.’ But you do not know that you are miserable and pitiable and poor and blind and naked” (Rev.3:15-17). Three defining qualities are: (1) that they are lukewarm; (2) that they are wealthy; (3) they are smugly self-sufficient and do not feel a need for God. To this He responds that unless they repent, He will spew them out of His mouth. He points out, also, that, although they feel smug in their sense of self-sufficiency, they are really miserable and pitiable and poor and blind and naked – actually very much in need. These are some distinguishing features of the last days false church.

This last days false church will be large and overflowing, due to its appealing  politically correct ideology of inclusivity, liberality, tolerance, thus facilitating peoples’ comfort level, “having teachers in keeping with their own desires, to have their ears tickled. And they will turn away from hearing the truth and wander off to myths” (2 Tim.4:3,4). Liberal and lukewarm, no absolute standards, but relativism presides. Society thrives on this; but so does the church in the last days.

The last days false church will be popular, validated by political, special interest groups, and even the corporate world, thus wealthy: the merchants of the earth grew rich off the power of her self-indulgence” (Rev. 18:3), “A picture of a Church that entices with lavish display . . . .  It all appeals to the soul, not the Spirit. . . .” instructs Prince. As Derek Prince points out, “If a thing makes money, it requires no other justification” (Prince,“True And False Church, Part 1”  Published on Aug 12, 2015); “the Harlot, the false church, uses political power to achieve its goals . . . .” Prince goes on to explain that: “The woman is sitting on the political system and riding on it,” as depicted in Rev.17:3,4.  He describes a church infiltrated with family break-up, infested by witchcraft and Jezebel spirits. Just as Jezebel rose to power by political means in Elijah’s time, so now will the false church arise upon the wings of Jezebel/Witchcraft spirits. Everything that was, will be again. There is nothing new on the face of the earth. Everything comes full circle.

“The church is being infiltrated by the occult due to the New Age. Throughout history the Roman Catholic Church has coexisted w/idolatrous pagan  systems. The fact that people have certain supernatural abilities does not mean that they are from the Lord,” Prince points out. And throughout Scriptures, the city of Babylon represents Rome. From Rome will arise the leader of the false church, which will be located in Rome, for “The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls. She was holding a golden cup in her hand full of detestable things and the filth of her immorality, and on her forehead was written a name, a mystery” (Rev.17:4,5). The false church is equated with Babylon. “The other major feature of this time is an explosion of the occult;” Prince explains: “All these are opening the way for the antichrist  . . . . .  astrology, horoscope (Jer.50:2,37,38) . . . .  this is what they specialized in . . . . Babylon was the capital of idolatry & occult. . .. . This false church is the spiritual descendant of Cain. Cain was a murderer who murdered the righteous” (Rev.17:6) (Prince, “True And False Church, Part 1”  Published on Aug 12, 2015).

Paul describes the process of corruption which occurs, for “somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds . . .” (2 Cor.11:3-5). He goes on to describe the pollution which occurs when the mind  is “led astray from a sincere and pure devotion and purity to the Messiah.  For if someone comes and proclaims another Yeshua whom we did not proclaim, or if you receive a different spirit . . .” (2 Cor.11:4,5). When the mind is carelessly exposed, then submitted to the things of the world, a door is opened for wrong spirits to enter in. “The process that leads to unfaithfulness is the corrupting of the mind  . . . .” (Prince, “True And False Church, Part 2,” Published on Aug 13, 2015).

Soul is translated from the Greek, to soulish, which means natural, carnal, the profane, as contrasted with the sacred. Soulish believers are led by their flesh and the demons they open doors to. There is an acute need “to discern between the soulish and the spiritual; the soulish appeals to the emotion; but it does not do the things that need to be done in the spirit. Soulish Christians can be deceived very easily. The false church specializes in the realm of the soul . . . .  If you are able to discern between the soulish and the spiritual you will not be deceived. This false church operates in the area of the emotions, the intellect, even in the musical . . . .” (Prince,“True And False Church, Part 1”  Published on Aug 12, 2015).

The false church of the last days is compared to a harlot/prostitute in Scripture. This is how she is viewed in God’s eyes: “the mother of prostitutes and the detestable things of the earth” (Rev.17:4). “But the ultimate end of the false church will be destruction” (Prince, “True And False Church, Part 1”  Published on Aug 12, 2015). “The ten horns that you saw, and the beast—these will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire” (Rev.17:16). When the antichrist is finished with the false church/false prophet – when it has served his purposes, then he will abandon it, and she will be ultimately judged and cast into eternal damnation. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’ Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’” Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them . . . .” (Matt.7:21-24). “For He has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her whoring” (Rev.19:2).

The corruption of society extends into the church, for God’s people will have aligned with the world, having embraced globalism, secular humanism, universalism, and pluralism: “people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, hardhearted, unforgiving, backbiting, without self-control, brutal, hating what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to an outward form of godliness but denying its power” (2 Tim.3:2-5). “Degeneration of human character and behaviour will become very conspicuous in the last days (Derek Prince, True & False Church, Pt.2). “Love of self, love of pleasure, & love of money. People professing to be Christians, but displaying selfishness, living only for self, which is a denial of the power of the Gospel. Self is a prison and every time you indulge it, you’re strengthening the bars of the prison.”

The false church of the last days will be liberal, popular, and wealthy. Entirely soulish, conforming to the world, thus infiltrated with occult and witchcraft, bearing little resemblance to Yeshua’s ordained “bride who has made herself ready, wearing fine linen, bright and clean” (Rev.19:7,8).
