Receiving God’s blessings is a natural outcome of walking in real freedom from bondage, experiencing the victorious life that any believer in Messiah has the potential to experience. This is only realized, however, when one is able to fully grasp their true identity in Messiah, and lays hold of walking in daily surrender.

Upon knowing and identifying with God/Yeshua, as Lord, Saviour, Father, Master, Husband, Friend, Rock, Shield, Fortress, and Deliverer –  as being the primary source for all things in life, and the primary source of one’s very own being, including self-worth, value, and identity, it changes everything. It changes how one sees oneself; it removes all issues of self-worth, self-image, self-concept; it frees the self up from all self-focus, enabling that self to become entirely rooted, grounded, and identified with just what it means to be one with Him, to dwell in Him. Once an individual is able to attain this understanding it changes everything. The individual will then be able to see themselves as the Father sees them, thus able to love oneself in the way that the Father does.

Getting from curses to blessings requires a shift in focus, as well as a shift in the way in which one views oneself. Once root causes and concomitant curses are addressed, deliverance attained, and the new freedom begins, what is of critical importance is that the individual continues to walk in such total surrender, intimacy, harmony, and oneness with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that there will be no open doors through which the Enemy can re-enter.

Begin to personalize, and declare Scriptures, such as the following, which will keep you centred on who you are, in Christ Jesus/Messiah Yeshua:

John 1:12

“But whoever did receive Him, those trusting in His name, to these He gave the right to become children of God.”

1 Cor.6:17

“But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”

1 Cor.6:19,20

“Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Ruach ha-Kodesh who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.”

“For you are all sons/daughters of God through trusting in Messiah Yeshua. For all of you who were immersed in Messiah have clothed yourselves with Messiah” (covered/wrapped up in Him).

“For you have died, and your life is hidden with Messiah in God.”

“it is no longer I who live, but Messiah lives in me. And the life I now live in the body, I live by trusting in Ben-Elohim—who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

2 Cor.5:17

“if anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

The Ruach/Holy Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. And if children, also heirs—heirs of God and joint-heirs with Messiah.”

“For we are His workmanshipcreated in Messiah Yeshua for good deeds, which God prepared beforehand so we might walk in them.”

“put on the new self—created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

“For our citizenship is in heaven and from there we eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.”

1 John 3:1-3

“See how glorious a love the Father has given us, that we should be called God’s children—and so we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 2 Loved ones, now we are God’s children; and it has not yet been revealed what we will be. But we do know that when it’s revealed, we shall be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. 3 Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”

Yes, these things are all “potentialities” and though one is still a work in progress, this is the identity given to believers; this is what one must begin to believe and walk in; this is who believers/followers of Yeshua are ideally supposed to be. Now, use these Scriptures as Swords, a defense against any of the Enemy’s false accusations, harassment, and efforts to obtain agreement with his false claims that have already stolen your true identity, or continue to attempt to steal, re-infest and re-enslave. Stand firm; and there is no better way than by wielding the Sword of the Spirit (Eph.6:17), “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword—piercing right through to a separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Heb.4:12).

After “you have taken off the old self with its practices  and have put on the new self that is being renewed in knowledge, according to the image of the One who created him” (Col.3:9,10), a new identity takes form. No longer subjecting oneself to victimization, abuse, or self-denegration, no longer rejecting oneself, but “Instead, put on the Lord Messiah Yeshua, and stop making provision for the flesh—for its cravings” (Rom.13:14), one can truly begin to view/esteem the self in a new way, as someone with value, self-respect, and dignity.

When one starts believing what The Word says, walking in it, acting like it, it will be realized, and the blessings will flow, because this is God’s will. This is who He has destined His true believers to be; and it can only become realized by becoming what His Word says. Walk in it unhesitatingly, in Yeshua’s Name, and be blessed.
