Father, by Your grace, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, teach me to walk in Your Ways, in righteousness, and obedience, and therefore not have holes/cracks in my armour.

“Therefore I will not let sin rule in my mortal body to obey its desires. I will not keep yielding my body parts to sin as tools of wickedness; but will yield myself completely to You, my body parts as tools of righteousness” (Rom.6:12,13). Thank-You, Father, for Your Word which guides me, sets boundaries and defines my foundation on Your Truth. “Whatever I yield myself to, I become enslaved by” (Rom.6:16); and it is my choice to yield my walk to You, in “obedience resulting in righteousness  . . . . .  so yielding my body parts as slaves to righteousness, resulting in holiness” (Rom.6:19). Thus I will not be ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Cor. 2:11) and allow him to take advantage of me.

Thank-You, Holy Father, that if I walk in faith (“the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one;” Eph.6:16), in Truth (“girded your waist with truth,” Eph,6:14), and righteousness (“put on the breastplate of righteousness,” Eph.6:14), and make repenting and forgiving a daily practice (“having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace,” Eph.6:15); then I will “be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Eph.6:16). And if I take the “sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,” (Eph.6:17,18), I will then have on the whole armour of God, “having done all, I can stand against whatever evil the Enemy is threatening with” (Eph.6:13, paraphrased).

I want to declare as the Psalmist, from Psalm 119, that:

30 I have chosen the way of truth;

Your judgments I have laid before me.

31 I cling to Your testimonies;

O Lord, do not put me to shame!

32 I will run the course of Your commandments,

For You shall enlarge my heart.

33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,

And I shall keep it to the end.

34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law;

Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

35 Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,

For I delight in it.

36 Incline my heart to Your testimonies,

And not to covetousness.

37 Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things,

And revive me in Your way.

38 Establish Your word to Your servant,

Who is devoted to fearing You.

39 Turn away my reproach which I dread,

For Your judgments are good.

40 Behold, I long for Your precepts;

Revive me in Your righteousness.

Just like Jesus/Yeshua directed, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23). “He who has Your commandments and keeps them, is the one who loves You. And the one who loves You will be loved by the Father, and You will manifest Yourself to that one” (John 14:21); and more than anything in life, I want to be one of those ones. I understand that Your blessings and promises have prerequisites; they all require a walk of obedience, faithfulness, righteousness, holiness, intimacy, surrender, and are exclusive to those who walk in faith and obedience unto the Lord: “if anyone keeps My word, he will never see death” (John 8:51).

I embrace these conditions because it is an immense privilege to be part of such an exclusive group. I am so grateful that You have chosen me to be part of that exclusive group of intimates. I am so humbled by being chosen, because I know I am undeserving. So I will not see it as burdensome to walk in obedience, righteousness, etc. in order to have on the whole armour 24/7; I will view it as a privilege and an honour.

“If I abide in You, and Your words abide in me, then You will give me my desires” (Ps.37:4; John 15:7), then I am “dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, and thereby abiding under the shadow of the Almighty” (Ps.91:1); and that is so where I want to dwell. It is my heart’s desire; it is my passion to so dwell. And if this is what I have to do in order to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of Your might  . . . . to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Eph.6:10,11), then I’m all for it. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but powerful through God” (2 Cor.10:3,4), and “our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, searching for someone to devour” (1 Pet.5:8); so if this is what needs doing in order to defeat the Enemy of my soul, this is definitely what I choose to do.

I am so grateful and humbled. I am so grateful for understanding what it means to “put on the whole armour of God,” and that I have the power to do this because of the supernatural force – Your Holy Spirit – within me. Thank-You, Lord Jesus/Yeshua Ha-Mashiach/Abba Father/Holy Spirit. In Your precious, holy Name, I pray. Amen.
